Day 2

Saturday brought a lighter breeze but brilliant sunshine—a day for the books and the photographers! With race wins for Bodfather, Akheilos, and Chaotic, the podium was graced with Mount Gay Rum, and the Royal Lymington Yacht Club brought the party to us at Lymington Yacht Haven on Saturday afternoon with drinks and pizza after racing.

Day 3

The final day brought drama, with Simon Perry’s Jiraffe, Tony Dickin’s Jubilee, and Andy Fitzgerald’s Short Echo winning races. In the final race, Chaotic and Flying Jenny were neck and neck until a protest led to both being disqualified. After discards, Flying Jenny won the championship, with Chaotic second and Khumbu Black third.

Twelve teams podiumed across the nine races, showing the fleet’s competitiveness. The prize-giving on Sunday featured art from Sarah Hornby and goodies from sponsors. Flying Jenny proudly raised the Hamble Yacht Services Trophy.

The Royal Lymington Yacht Club and Lymington Yacht Haven look forward to the class returning in 2025.
