Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Safety & Marine Equipment Demo Day, held in the Hoist Area at Lymington Yacht Haven on Saturday morning, 12th April. This free event brought together berth holders, visitors, and local marine professionals to explore the latest marine safety equipment through live demonstrations and expert advice from on-site tenants and local marine businesses and services.

Demonstrations That Made a Splash
One of the highlights of the day was Ocean Safety’s interactive demonstrations, which gave attendees a firsthand look at safety equipment in action, both on-the-water and shoreside. From launching a liferaft to recovering a “man overboard” using a Jon Buoy and the main halyard, these hands-on displays brought safety techniques to life. With thanks to Arnie and his team at LYC (Lymington Yacht Charter) for providing the boat that made these demonstrations possible.
Meanwhile, the Lymington RNLI team was on hand to offer FREE lifejacket checks and fittings, and the Lymington RNLI Lifeboat made a special appearance, with an impressive entrance on the water.

"What a useful morning! The demonstrations were very good. It’s a few years since we did our sea safety courses, and it was a good refresher. We’d also never seen inside an inflated liferaft, so to have a demonstration of that was very good. Well done and thank you."
