As part of the ongoing investment in infrastructure, services and facilities, Lymington Yacht Haven has taken delivery of a state-of-the-art WISE BT25 boat transporter allowing increased capacity for moving vessels around the site.
The 25 ton boat transporter increases capacity from the previous 20 ton machine, and will operate alongside Lymington’s 60 ton WISE boat hoist which arrived in October 2022.
The versatile BT25 machine features tighter steering for better maneuverability around the boatyard. Its lifting arms and keel beam hangars are now operated hydraulically rather than manually on the previous machine. Additionally, the wider opening parameters of the new machine enable larger cradle lifts. These features, combined with a modern, cleaner drive system, bring Lymington Yacht Haven's boatyard equipment firmly up-to-date to cater for all boat shapes and sizes.
Lymington Boatyard
Lymington's boat lifting facility operates Monday to Friday with emergency 24 hour lifting available. For small or quick jobs, boats can be held in the hoist for an hour, over a tea break or overnight. For extended periods of storage, vessels can be positioned in the secure boatyard.
