Premium Partner
Lymington Yacht Haven is delighted to announce it has become a Premium Partner of the St Barbe Museum + Art Gallery in Lymington.
This partnership is built on shared values and objectives. Both organisations are committed to delivering exceptional experiences, celebrating Lymington and our surrounding areas, and providing a warm, welcoming environment. At the Yacht Haven, we pride ourselves on our helpful staff and service, our local knowledge and expertise, and creating a relaxing environment for every berth holder and visitor. These ideals closely mirror St Barbe’s mission to inspire and engage through its vibrant exhibitions and cultural programmes.
A Premier Partnership offers us a meaningful way to support St Barbe's work. Through its diverse programs, St Barbe engages with schools, young people, people with dementia and artists. Partnerships help sustain initiatives like the neurodiverse art group, toddler sessions and award-winning HAF programme for low-income families, fostering connection, wellbeing and creativity.

Events, exhibitions and collections all-year round
Located at the heart of the beautiful town of Lymington, St Barbe is a dynamic museum, a highly regarded art gallery and a community hub that appeals to both locals and New Forest visitors.
The name comes from the St Barbe family who lived in Lymington in the 18th and 19th centuries. The building that houses the museum was built as a school in 1835 by money given by Ann St Barbe. The school was often referred to locally as the St Barbe school, so when in 1992 they took over the building, it seemed appropriate to name it after its founder.
Nowadays, St Barbe host a diverse range of events, exhibitions and collections throughout the year, including Lymington Afloat, a recent exhibition exploring the river’s vital role in shaping the social and commercial fabric of Lymington, and Shorelines/Skylines (pictured) examining contemporary artists’ interest in the boundaries between sea and land, sea and sky and the skylines of urban and rural settings.
