The Largs Viking Festival is a week-long celebration of Vikings and their culture, which draws crowds from near and far to celebrate in Largs. Visit the Viking Village on Largs Seafront and take part in the many activities staged during the Week.
Discover the way of life for the Vikings by seeing their reproduced villages, uncover their religion and beliefs, and learn about their history and heritage. The ever-popular festival includes owl magic, handcrafted Viking jewellery and a Scottish food and craft fayre.
The week culminates with the re-enactment of the Battle of Largs now known as the Festival of Fire. After a torch-lit parade through town, a longboat is ceremonially burnt before a spectacular firework display.
This is a great event for the whole family and well worth making a trip to Largs for.
