The UK's first public library exclusively for diving and shipwrecks has opened in The Bridge at Mount Batten.
The new library, called 'The Diver's Library' was opened by Ray Ives, a legendary local diver whose collection of artefacts from shipwrecks is viewable at Ray Ives Museum at Yacht Haven Quay (colloquially known as "Ray's Plaice").
The new library, which is on the first floor at The Bridge bar/restaurant located at Plymouth Yacht Haven, contains over 800 books on diving, underwater archaeology, shipwrecks and nautical treasures is open to the public to browse whenever The Bridge is open. The Library was enable by the brilliant team at SHIPs Project, led by Mallory Haas.

- 9am to 11pm Tuesday to Saturday
- 9am to 6pm Sunday to Monday

Ray Ives: A Life Underwater
Ray Ives is a popular and familiar face at Yacht Haven Quay. His museum, Ray's Plaice, is a collection of Ray's underwater collection while his life has also been filmed in an award winning documentary, "Ray: A Live Underwater". Film sponsored by Yacht Havens
