Troon Yacht Haven has been crowned Best UK Marina/Harbour 2017 in the Sailing Today Awards which recognises the very best in the UK and international sailing world.

There was further good news for the Scottish west coast with the region being, once again, nominated as the best Cruising Grounds in the world.
Stephen Bennie, Director at Troon Yacht Haven, commented on the award saying, “The marina team work tirelessly to assist berth holders and marina visitors, so this is an amazing way to finish to summer.
“This award follows an incredible 12 months for us. Last summer was the busiest on record for Troon Yacht Haven with The Open Golf Championships in the town. Then our sister-marina, Largs Yacht Haven, was awarded a similar UK Coastal Marina Of The Year award in January. All these things reaffirm that the stunning cruising grounds of the Scottish west coast is ably supported by 2 of the finest marinas in the UK.”

The award was presented by renowned British sailor and yachting journalist Tom Cunliffe alongside Sailing Today Editor Sam Jefferson. Collecting the award was Troon Yacht Haven Marina Director Stephen Bennie, Haven Master Scott Trewern and Yacht Havens Ltd Managing Director Dylan Kalis.
