This is a 4 day weekend rally of cruising yachts, the dates are 4 -7th July 2025.
These dates will allow competitors in the Yealm YC Trebeurden Race to ‘feed’ into this event, and possibly the 2025 FOGOF event participants, which is usually held mid June.
The theme of this and subsequent events is ‘1 Port (of entry) and 1 Island’ from the ‘Les Isles du Ponant’ Series. Islands of Brittany, Lower Normandy, Vendée and Charente Maritime. See iles-du-ponant.com
The plan is to arrive in Lezardrieux or Treguier from Salcombe.
- Both are Ports of Entry, with a view to an evening supper in the Port.
- A dressed overall competition.
- A day exploring the nearby Archipel de Brehat.
- Yachts would then be free to return to Plymouth or continue a summer cruise along the Cote de Granit Rose Coast.
The event is open to any FOGOF or Plymouth based cruising yacht and any PYC member (caravan & motor-home owners included).
It will be promoted via local marinas, PPSA, and Yacht Clubs, along with local Cruising Groups and Social Media.
The briefings, workshops, seminars & steering committee meetings will all be held in PYC, probably on the Cruising Wednesday evenings.
