Plymouth Hoe
Overlooking Plymouth Sound lies the Hoe, Smeaton’s Tower and the spot where Sir Francis Drake famously finished his game of bowls before defeating the Spanish Armada.
The Hoe also has one of the UKs largest Lido with frequent inflatable sessions during the summer. Tinside Lido has been voted in the top 10 pools in Europe and is a popular feature on the Plymouth waterfront.

Children will enjoy a visit to Plymouth Pavilions which has both an indoor ice rink and a fun pool with water slides.
On the outskirts of the city, Plymouth boasts a dry ski slope and a Ski & Snowboard Centre. Lessons and hire is available daily.
Within easy reach of the Yacht Haven is Staddon Heights Golf Club which welcomes visitors onto a scenic, clifftop 18 hole golf course. Fort Stamford Health & Fitness Centre, a five minute walk from the marina, has a gym, aerobics studio, squash courts, pool and beauty therapies.

The National Maritime Aquarium includes the best collection of sharks and manta rays in Europe, the UK's largest collection of marine life in over 50 tanks and a 4D cinema.
The Barbican, easily accessed by the Mount Batten ferry, is a network of small, scenic cobbled lanes that bring you to a hidden Elizabethan House and its peaceful gardens
The oldest working gin distiller in the world, Plymouth Gin, runs daily tours of their facilities along with tasting evenings!
Plymouth's City Museum and Art Gallery contains collections of fine art, decorative art, human history and natural history, and is complemented by changing exhibitions touring from national galleries.
Explore on foot
The stunning South West Coast Path runs from the back of the marina along Jennycliff to the entrance of Plymouth Sound.
Alternatively, a short ferry ride to Mount Edgcumbe on the opposite side of the Sound allows you to continue on the footpath into Cornwall. Mount Edgcumbe is also home to a historic park, house and gardens.
Saltram House and Gardens is a wonderful National Trust property which can be reached by foot or bicycle along a riverside path, or in a few minutes by car. It has lovely landscaped gardens and an impressive Georgian House which was the location for Sense and Sensibility.
