The world's largest offshore yacht race sees boats undertake the legendary 600mile route - Cowes to Fastnet Rock and finishing at Plymouth. The 2017 event is the largest ever entry in the 92 year history of the Royal Ocean Racing Club's biennial event.
The race gets underway on Sunday 6th August with the first boats normally expected in Plymouth on Tuesday 8th* with the bulk of the fleet arriving on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (*subject to weather conditions).
We can't wait to welcome the spectacular range of boats arrive in Britain's Ocean City!
Race Village
The Rolex Fastnet Race Village is located at Plymouth Yacht Haven. Within the village, there'll be several stands and displays including Musto, Roger Young Land Rover, Jaguar, the Lanson Champagne Bar and much more. A large big screen will show footage from the race, food & drink tents will refuel the exhausted crew and skippers, and a range of live music will be playing on Thursday and Friday night.
The Race Village is open to the public from Tuesday to Friday with the exception of the Prizegiving event on Friday night which is for competitors only.
Pontoon Access
Support crew, family, friends and members of the public will have access to the pontoons to see the boats up close and in person. All visitors of the public will need to report to the Rave Village office for entry and they are advised to be courteous to skippers, crew and the boats. Event organisers and Plymouth Yacht Haven staff will closely monitor access and visitors may be required to wait to ease pontoon congestion.
